Foundation Repair and Concrete Leveling in this Prairie Village, Kansas Home

It was a foundation crack and sunken garage floor that alerted John Willoughby to call KC Waterproofing. He discovered this problem was also allowing water into his basement.

Willoughby knew he needed professionals to come in and look at the cause of this foundation crack and offer a solution to fix it. But part of the success of this project was the concrete leveling or lifting KC Waterproofing used to correct the uneven concrete surfaces plaguing his property.

What KC Waterproofing Discovered in this Prairie Village, Kansas Home

Upon the visit we realized the origin of the foundation crack was coming from his sunken garage floor area. As the team investigated, we learned he was experiencing sunken concrete throughout his property including his patio, sidewalk and a part of his concrete pool area.

Along with being eyesores, these raised concrete points, like uneven sidewalk slabs, become a tripping hazard to all who cross them. In the case of the garage, it was causing a more serious foundational crack. There is a solution. In most cases, concrete leveling, also known as concrete lifting, is the smartest option for your uneven concrete slabs.

At KC Waterproofing, we use a state of the art polyurethane product called Polypier® from Earth Contact Products – another Kansas City company. The Polypier is an expanding foam that permanently fixes your concrete problems and weighs less than the original mud or new concrete so it won’t compound the sinking problem.

Foundation and Concrete Repair Procedure

The first move was to fix the exterior vertical foundation crack. The crack was injected and then waterproofed on both the exterior and interior of the Prairie Village home.

Then our Concrete Leveling Specialist moved forward with securing his entire property to give him safe and solid concrete surfaces throughout.

Our Concrete Leveling specialist did a Poly Fill on the garage floor to fill the voids underneath and even out the ground. He also repaired some cracks in this garage floor to complete the job and get it as close to looking like new as possible.

Using the same concrete levelling procedure, our Concrete Leveling Specialist also fixed the uneven patio and sidewalks. He also filled the voids beneath the pool that had settled into the ground.

Willoughby and his family now enjoy safe and even concrete surfaces, a solid foundation repair all resulting in his once again dry basement.

The Foundation Repair and Concrete Leveling Customer Review

Willoughby tells us he is pleased with the repairs and hasn’t had an issue since. He described the experience as “comforting” to have the work done and know it’s done right.

"I have personally used and referred to KC Waterproofing for over 30 years. As a mortgage professional I can't afford to refer my old and new clients to a company that hasn't arrived itself to me. This is a company you can trust,” said Willoughby.
